Re-Applying to The Reser Family Foundation
The Foundation welcomes requests to the Fast Track and Mid Size grant programs for deadlines on 2/1 and 8/1 annually. Requests can be submitted once in a 12 month period. After an organization has applied three consecutive years, we require organizations to take a one year hiatus before re-applying, regardless of grant funding status.
The Foundation also funds requests through the Small Community Initiative (SCI) and through the Next Gen Council (NGC) grant program. The re-apply restriction above does not apply to these programs. Eligible organizations may submit SCI and NGC applications at their convenience.

The Reser Family Foundation board, staff, and the Reser family will gather this weekend to continue our strategic planning process. Every three years the team reviews recent requests, approvals, and denials to help refine the funding priorities. We establish these funding priorities for the next three years.
The weight of this work is especially heavy now, during the ongoing pandemic & recovery. The volume of grant requests to the Foundation has grown and nearly 70% of recent applicants were not funded. Our team will be working to narrow our funding priorities and improve communication tools, including our website and grant portal. We recognize the time applicants invest applying to our responsive grant programs and how competitive our programs have become with such a high volume of requests and growing needs.
We anticipate our strategic planning work continuing into December. We look forward to working with applicants in January when our grant portal re-opens for the 2/1/22 deadline.

From The Reser Family Foundation to our Community…
In reference to Martin Luther King’s powerful message… we believe all people must be valued by the content of their character rather than the color of their skin. The hurt, pain and anger that so many of us are feeling is an expression of our reality that many times race still determines how people are treated in America.
At The Reser Family Foundation, we raise our voice against racism, hate and discrimination in our continuing work to strengthen and support our community. We stand side-by-side with our non-profit partners ready to listen and learn from one another, working together to break down barriers to racial and social justice.
If your organization is working collaboratively to make positive changes related to diversity, equity and inclusion in Oregon, please look at our grant programs to see if we can be of help to you now or in the future.

COVID-19: WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER.
Together: A shared vision for a thriving Oregon.
To continue to support communities throughout the state, The Reser Family Foundation is currently accepting grant applications through our grant portal. Our next grant request deadline is August 1, 2020. Apply for a grant.
During the summer, we will continue to review and select organizations for support through the central application portal at the Oregon Community Foundation for both COVID Relief Community Recovery and COVID Relief Arts and Culture Recovery programs. We are grateful to the collaborative funders who are working together in partnership on centralized statewide COVID-19 Relief programs.

April 28th, 2020:
The effect of COVID-19 on communities all over the globe has quickly changed our way of life.
RESPONDING TO COMMUNITIES THROUGHOUT OREGON:
To support communities throughout the state, and in collaboration with other funders, The Reser Family Foundation is funding COVID-19 requests submitted through the central portal at The Oregon Community Foundation (OCF).
There is no application currently posted here on The Reser Family Foundation portal so that nonprofits do not need to apply multiple places for COVID-19 support; we are partnering with other funders, reviewing applications submitted through two statewide COVID response funds:
- Oregon Community Recovery Program
- Oregon Arts and Culture Recovery Program

A NOTE TO CURRENT GRANTEE PARTNERS:
If you are a current grantee, we want you to know that we trust you. If you received grant funding from The Reser Family Foundation in 2019, we stand firmly by your side as we navigate this unfamiliar time together. We respect your work and want to reassure you that you have our support.
We encourage you to reach out to us if you need additional time to complete the grant you started in 2019, need additional time to complete your grant report, or need to convert your grant to a general operating grant. If you need this support, please let us know:
